This is clearly one of those “too much of a good thing" situations. No association has been found between 100% natural fruit juice and obesity, unless consumed in very large amounts. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends the intake of fruit juice be limited to 4-6 ounces (1 serving) per day for children 1 to 6 years of age and 8 -12 ounces (2 servings) per day for children 7 to 18 years of age.
